Plain Sight (Orange Background) is an original oil painting from a series that explores unnoticed beauty and inner resilience. The subject, a purple oxalis plant, is often found in corners or overlooked spaces, yet it carries a gentle presence and remarkable strength. Through its delicate structure and rich violet tones, the plant becomes a symbol of the quiet power that exists in subtle, unassuming forms of life.
Set against a warm orange background, the composition is infused with light, vitality, and emotional warmth. The glow beneath the brushstrokes suggests an inner illumination — the kind that emerges when we accept who we truly are. The contrast between the vibrant ground and the tender plant form creates a dialogue between strength and softness, visibility and invisibility.
This work invites the viewer to pause and reconsider what is “in plain sight,” reflecting on how simplicity, presence, and authenticity can hold profound emotional depth.

The process of Painting "Plain Sight” Series
In our fast-paced world, we often overlook the small, quiet things that hold their own kind of magic. Sometimes, beauty lives quietly—in an overlooked corner, in the soft presence of something small. It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t demand attention. And yet, you feel drawn to it.
You pause.
You notice.
You connect.
Not because it called out to you, but simply because it is.
This is the kind of beauty that moves me most as an artist. The kind that exists gently and intentionally—like the purple oxalis sitting peacefully in the corner of a room. Its presence is subtle, but the feeling it evokes is powerful. These are the moments that stir something deep within me, quietly yet profoundly.
It reminded me that at the end, true beauty relies on just being yourself, on being you, in your own subtle but yet powerful being.
The Purple Oxalis Series
Inspired by this idea, I created two versions of my Purple Oxalis painting. One features a rich purple background, the other a warm orange. The flower remains the same—its essence unchanged—yet the emotion shifts dramatically depending on the color that surrounds it.
That’s the transformative power of color. It can change the tone, the mood, the emotional resonance of a piece, all while preserving its heart.
Plain Sight with an orange background, infusing the piece with a sense of warmth and illumination. The soft radiance beneath the brushstrokes mirrors the inner glow that emerges when we embrace who we truly are.
For me, these paintings are a reminder that true beauty doesn’t need to stand out or compete. It can live softly, in plain sight, and still leave an unforgettable impression.
