The Painting That Started It All

The Moment I Said Yes to Art (and Myself)

This piece marked the beginning of my artistic journey. It was the portal that opened me to an inner world of creativity and self-expression.

Magnolias in the Wind is inspired by the graceful movement, fluidity, and resilience of flowers dancing in the wind. Much like life, it speaks to those moments when we find ourselves in the unknown—when the only way forward is to trust, surrender, and flow. It's about allowing your heart to lead, while your intellect helps shape the path.

This is the feeling I wanted to evoke.

At the time, I knew in my heart that becoming an artist was something my soul was desperately calling for. But I didn’t know how, or where, or even why. Everything felt new and uncertain… except for one thing—I wanted to share my story through painting.

I chose a coral background, one of my favorite colors, as a symbol of community and belonging. The flowers are painted in soft pinks and purples—representing my heart and emotional truth.

To trust your heart is to give the Universe permission to guide, sustain, and support you in your life’s journey.
